Students’ Attitudes Towards Reading in Polish and English – the Case of ESL (English as a Second Language) Primary School Students. A Pilot Probe

The aim of this article was to investigate students’ attitudes towards reading in Polish and English. Two self-constructed questionnaires were administered 48 ESL (English as a second language) pupils (26 boys, 22 girls) primary school. first questionnaire consisted 15 questions about various attitudes, problems opinions on books. content the survey’s also raised issues related English, emotions connected reading. 5 follow-up questions. results indicate that simply like for pleasure makes them feel good. However, they do not fancy long difficult words. They enjoy adventure books stories animals. Pupils adults them. there is significant diffrence between boys girls – when read them, not. prefer by themselves.
